My interest in Pilates started many years ago when I was an aerobics instructor and I have dipped in and out of it over the years, so what changed?
I took up long distance running about 15 years ago and qualified as an England Athletics Endurance Running Coach in 2017.Like so many people, I have suffered issues with IT band, back and neck problems, knees and even, feet.
Finally, the penny dropped I needed to train to run and to keep away the niggles.
I tried HIT, got injured, tried a PT and my running got slower, tried yoga but could not achieve many of the poses and then tried Stott Pilates and loved it and guess what the injuries stopped!
In my classes the flow is paced but can be modified whatever your level as I want you to get the most out of the classes. A safe and effective class.
My aim is to help you achieve your goals and for you to finish the class feeling revitalised and with a balanced and aligned body that moves with ease.
I promise a fun, motivating environment with lots of teaching points.

STOTT PILATES is a contemporary approach to the original exercise method pioneered by Joseph Pilates. Co-founders Lindsay G. Merrithew and Moira Merrithew, along with a team of physical therapists, sports medicine and fitness professionals, have spent three decades refining the STOTT PILATES method of exercise. This resulted in the inclusion of modern principles of exercise science, fascial fitness and spinal rehabilitation, making it one of the safest and most effective methods available. Stott Pilates incorporates the following biomechanical principles: breathing, pelvic placement, rib cage placement, scapular movement and stabilization, and head and cervical placement. By introducing these principles and reinforcing them, awareness of how the body moves is developed. This mind-body awareness ensures focus on precision and control
